28/01/09: Back Alive

Keystone and Breckenridge were awesome. It snowed something like thirty inches in the four days that we were out there, and the conditions were great. I took some pictures, but unfortunately, I am too tired to deal with them right now. However, you can check out my web album at Picasa by clicking the picture below. I am tired right now, so that is all I am going to write today. Check out the pictures and I will write more later.

Yep, nearly 4, 000 meters high.

22/01/09: Snowboarding

I am an idiot. Let's just get that out of the way. It snowed about 10cm on Monday, so I more or less haven't left the house. I hate the cold. Sitting around the house all day is boring, though, so I ended up getting into a little bit of trouble. My little brother, John, took the week off work, so we have just been hanging out together.

Two days ago, we started drinking beer. In fact, we drank all of the beer in the house. That is when things got tricky. We didn't exactly have the ability to get more beer, being that it was late, and neither of us had the ability to drive. However, we did know that my other little brother, Tom, had some hard liquor in his room. He was sleeping, but we managed to get him up and get a bottle of whiskey from him (Crown Royal, in case you care). John and I then proceeded to finish off a fifth of whiskey, and for some reason I still had the thirst.

By this point it was around 3:00am, and I didn't want to wake Tom up again, so I decided to 'sneak' into his room and get it. Naturally, after drinking half a fifth, plus plenty of beers, sneaking around isn't really an option. I tiptoed down into his room, and of course the stairs were squeaking like crazy, so he and his girlfriend woke up. I thought that just standing there and not moving would cause him to forget about me and go back to sleep. Of course, I forgot that the door was open, and I was standing in the light. Hah.

So he asks me what the hell I am doing, and I respond with 'Who, me?' Hahahaha. Then I go on to tell him "If I were a ninja, you wouldn't have seen me." Pretty funny stuff. Of course, I don't really remember much of it, so I am claiming that it wasn't me.

In other news, I am heading out to Colorado for a snowboarding trip today. I will be back on Tuesday and hopefully have some cool pictures to share. I also hopefully won't have any broken bones to share, but you never know. Until then, enjoy!

Oh, and for Tuttle. Here is a picture of me and the most important woman in my life.
