28/10/09: The Failure

I do have a glorious mustache, I do. I won't show a picture, because it will throw Steve into a fit, and nobody wants that. The problem is that I was dead set on being Thomas Magnum of Magnum P.I. fame for Halloween. To that end, I was watching some episodes of the aforementioned television show to get a feel for the character and to get a little inspiration.
I didn't get inspired, though, I just realized that my mustache is completely incomparable to Tom Selleck's. I have honestly never seen a bushier, thicker, more full of life 'stache than he has. After watching him in action, I realized that I could never be mistaken for Magnum P.I. , even if I did put on a Hawaiian shirt and a Detroit Tigers cap. So now I am stuck, three days before Halloween, and I have no costume. What to do, what to do?
In other news, I went with Jisun to see the movie "New York, I Love You" last night. She really wanted to see it, so I knew that it wouldn't be my cup of tea. However, I agreed to go because that is the kind of guy that I am. I did no research before the movie, so had no idea what to expect, and I still managed to be disappointed. There were a ton of stars in this movie. It was like Ocean's 11, 12, and 13 all rolled up into one. However, it still stunk. Supposedly it is a romance, but there was no real love story. Ok, so there were several stories that might have been about love, if they weren't so busy trying to be slick and cool. Wait, I can't even call them stories, because without fail each and every one of them was plotless and uninteresting.
You know what? If you want to see a movie with a bunch of intertwining stories about love, see Magnolia. Not only does it pack the same star power, if not more, it has several amazing stories and everything ends up coming together in the end.

I hated that movie. Well, it was okay until near the end. In fact, I liked it at the beginning. And it went all downhill from there. I hated that movie.
